Getting to East Surrey Hospital
Easy access, only 10 mins from Gatwick Airport & 30 mins from London
From London via A23 through Redhill
Follow A23 to Redhill. At the Lombard roundabout turn left into Princess Way. Proceed to next roundabout and go
straight over into Marketfield Way. At the next roundabout bear left and follow A23 for about 2 miles passing through
three sets of traffic lights. At the fourth set, turn left (signed A&E) into Three Arch Road
From M25 (Junction 8) Reigate Hill
Follow A217 down Reigate Hill, go over the level crossing and follow the signs marked Gatwick A217 through the
Reigate one way system. When you have passed the cinema (on your right), at the next traffic lights turn left into
Bell Street. Continue straight up the A217 into Cockshot Hill. When you get to the bottom of Cockshot Hill there are
some traffic lights (Angel Pub on left) turn left and follow this road (Woodhatch Road). At mini roundabout, bear
right, continue for 1 mile. After this distance turn left following A&E signs. At the staggered junction traffic lights go
straight ahead into Three Arch Road.
Parking: All visitors are asked to park in the visitors/public car parks. There are two public parking areas for visitors and patients at East Surrey Hospital:
- Main visitor car park 1 is located along Canada Avenue, in between the Main Entrance and East Entrance
- Visitor car park 2 is located near the East Entrance, just beside the East Surrey Macmillan Cancer Support Centre

The Postgraduate Centre, situated in Maple House, is the first building on the right as you turn into the hospital
The most convenient mainline station is Redhill. If you are coming from London frequent services leave from Victoria
or alternatively, London Bridge (you may need to change trains at East Croydon). Taxis are available from outside
Redhill train station, which is approximately three miles from the hospital.
East Surrey Hospital is just 10 minutes by taxi from Gatwick Airport.
Opposite Redhill Train station you can catch a bus straight to the hospital.
